The Horse Warrior
14" x 22" x 4"
Horse Warriors were at the top of the military ranks in the Indian nations. Horses were valuable and rare. They were on loan from the Great Spirit and could not be owned by an individual. The use of the horse had to be earned through acts of bravery. The bright colors and vibrant markings of war paint were to impress the horse as well as the tribal counsel.
